County Connection is a youth band that was formed in 2023. The members of this group all met thru a non-profit organization Called Kids in Bluegrass. The Members are:
Chantal O’Neil founder and presented of Kids in Bluegrass, Chantal Won Promoter of the year in 2018 and 2019 and also won Bass Player of the year in 2019 with the Eastern Canadian Bluegrass Awards. Chantal has played bass for many great musicians thru out the years such as Smiley Bates, Ray Legere and Eddy Poirer just to name a few. Chantal now plays bass for County Connection.
Lucas Whitehead – Lead Guitar and vocals. Lucas has had a great love for Classic Country and bluegrass since a very young age. Last summer was his 8th year singing at the Hank Snow Tribute in Liverpool. He was awarded International Male Vocalist and International Male Entertainer in 2019 at the contest in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Lucas also won first place in the competition at the Apple Blossom Festival in 2024 and first place at Road To The Stage at the 2024 Bridgewater Exhibition and played the opening act with the Washboard Union. He won second in the 2024 East Coast Country Music Association Country Star search in the adult group.
Nicholas Langille is from Stewiacke, Nova Scotia and has been playing music from a very young age. He was a member of Kids in Bluegrass since 2019, Nicholas is now a multi talented musician, singer and song writer and his main genres is bluegrass, country and gospel music.
Ethan Mattie – Ethan is also a Multi instrumentalist, Ethan was in Kids in Bluegrass in 2015. He started playing the guitar and jamming with people from school in 2019, He learned Country and rock blues. Ethan’s parents are no strangers to bluegrass and in one of their jams Dennis Boudreau also know as “Nick the Pick” was there playing the banjo after hearing Nick play that is when Ethan found the love for bluegrass.
