The Bluegrass Diamonds formed in 1996. Since then they have recorded eight CD’s and one DVD. The latest project recorded in 2017 called “The Toolbox”. They are award winners both collectively and individually. Known for their high energy performance, strong vocals and humour, they perform a unique blend of Traditional Bluegrass and French Acadian Music.
The band has played across Canada and in the New England States, always being well received at all performance venues thus creating a good following of fans.
The Bluegrass Diamonds songs are played on local community radio stations such as 89.5 FM and 99.9 FM as well as numerous community French stations across Canada. This past summer they played in New Brunswick, P.E.I., Quebec and Maine.
The Bluegrass Diamonds consist of the following members:
Vincent Cormier – Born in 1965. Plays bass and has a strong lead and high tenor voice. Vincent started out playing Country Music then switched to Bluegrass. He and his brother Francis originally started The Bluegrass Diamonds. Vincent is well known and respected for both singing and playing bass. After winning Bass Player of the Year 5 times, he received The Masters Award. Vincent has also won Entertainer of the Year as well as Vocalist of the Year.
Louis Cormier – Born in 1988, son of Vincent. Plays the guitar and sings lead, tenor and baritone. Louis began singing at the age of three. At the age of 14, because of his powerful voice and great harmony abilities, he earned a spot with The Bluegrass Diamonds. When he is not playing with The Bluegrass Diamonds he is often asked to play with other bands in Country and Acadian music. Louis has great potential in the music industry.
